Empowering Schools and Transforming Wellbeing

At Full Colour Coaching, we are passionate about equipping schools with the tools to support student wellbeing, leadership, and personal development. Through our Coaching Skills for Wellbeing Award and evidence-based coaching programs, we help young people develop essential skills to thrive — both in school and beyond.

We believe in making wellbeing a lived experience, embedded in daily school life. Our work is about more than just teaching—it’s about empowering the next generation of confident, emotionally intelligent leaders.

Our Mission

To embed coaching principles in schools, enhance student wellbeing, create supportive peer networks, and empower future leaders.

When students develop strong communication, resilience, and self-awareness, they become better equipped to navigate challenges and support others — creating a ripple effect of positive change across the school community.

What We Do:

We partner with schools across Scotland to deliver evidence-based coaching workshops and accredited training programs that:

  • Support student mental health by teaching practical coaching techniques.
  • Develop leadership skills in young people, preparing them to mentor and support others.
  • Equip educators with coaching strategies to enhance student engagement and wellbeing.

What We Do

We partner with schools across Scotland to deliver:

  • Group Coaching Workshops for whole classes and targeted student groups
  • Peer Leadership Training for student leaders, wellbeing ambassadors, and mentors
  • The Coaching Skills for Wellbeing Award recognising students’ growth and coaching capabilities
  • Staff Development and Coaching Strategy Support for Sustainable Impact

Our programs are practical, fun, and grounded in evidence. They are tailored to suit your school's unique culture, values, and goals.

Why Coaching in Schools Matters

Research shows that coaching in education fosters:

  • Self-efficacy
  • Emotional intelligence
  • A growth mindset

These qualities are essential not only for academic success, but also for lifelong wellbeing and resilience. Our coaching approach aligns with Scotland’s national focus on mental health in schools, helping to create safe, positive learning environments where students and staff thrive.

Our Coaching Model

We use a solution-focused, strengths-based coaching model, specially adapted for school settings. Students learn how to:

  • Reflect on their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours
  • Build empathy and communication skills
  • Set goals and take action in small, achievable steps
  • Offer support to peers in respectful and constructive ways

Meet the Team

Led by Angie Shearer MBE, Full Colour Coaching is powered by a passionate team of educators, coaches, and wellbeing specialists.

Angie has been a PE teacher in Aberdeenshire for nearly 15 years and has seen firsthand the growing stress and anxiety facing both students and staff. After researching the impact of coaching in education, she trained as an ICF ACTP-accredited coach and founded Full Colour Coaching to bring these powerful tools into Scottish schools.

Today, Angie leads a growing team of facilitators who are deeply committed to student wellbeing, staff development, and transforming school culture from within.

“I believe students are capable, creative, and full of potential. With the right tools and support, they become powerful changemakers — in their own lives and within their school communities.”

Join the Movement

We’re committed to making coaching an integral part of education in Scotland. If you’re a school leader, educator, or policymaker looking to integrate coaching skills into your school’s wellbeing strategy, we’d love to connect with you.

Ready to bring coaching to your school?

“I’m so lucky to have had Angie as my coach. I found her balance of support and challenge so amazing. Health professionals might be a bit overwhelming for youngsters. Having a coaching session with Angie would help youngsters get to the root cause of their anxiety and get them thinking about how they want to deal with it moving on.”
